This past Sunday our Wellspring Basketball Team in partnership with The Town of Castle Rock and Special Olympics competed in the Regional Tournament at the Gold Crown Foundation in Lakewood. Though our team was small, they had the most heart. The five STARS who were able to attend the tournament this past weekend played two games with no subs and demonstrated tremendous amounts of athleticism, teamwork, perseverance, and spirit. It was a true joy to watch from the stands as the STARS shone brightly and to hear the “swish” of the net each time Ryan shot a three-pointer.
