Confident, Thoughtful, and Loving

Zach's Story

When talking about his strengths, Zach says with a smile that he makes healthy choices and sometimes lifts weights. He also notes that in addition to his strong muscles, he is confident, thoughtful, and loving. He shares that he will often check in with people when they are feeling sad, scared, or worried and tries to help them feel better. These strengths make Zach a natural leader.

At Wellspring, Zach demonstrates his leadership abilities throughout his various and many roles within our community. He is on the STARS Leadership Team, a baker in the cooperative, a member of the Wellspring Housing Board, and LOVES his job at the Castle Rock Collective. One of the things he loves most about being a Barista is the opportunity to serve the community and to make customers happy. In fact, his goals currently include greeting customers and helping others on his team.

When Zach shares about Wellspring he says, “It is very important to me, Wellspring is like a family to me.” He appreciates how the community supports us and that he gets to give back to others too.

Zach’s contributions and leadership are so valuable. His commitment to helping others and the ways in which he is stepping into leadership enriches our community and is paving the way for Wellspring to have a strong, thoughtful, and loving future.

Zach would like everyone who is reading this to know that; he loves listening to Rascal Flatts (country music is the soundtrack to his work outs), he likes to read books; sometimes Star Wars and sometimes the Bible, and that he dreams of driving a truck- he is partial to Nissan Frontiers. Soon he hopes that he will travel to Orlando, Florida with his girlfriend and experience Disney World with her. Lastly, he’d like you to mark your calendars for Spirit Week at Wellspring planned by the STARS Leadership Committee (see below for more information).

Evening of Inspiration Success!

Wellspring’s 15th Annual Evening of Inspiration was a tremendous success! Thank you to all of our guests who attended and supported Wellspring for this important milestone. We are especially grateful to our sponsors, who were more generous than ever and propelled this event to new heights. In all, the Evening of Inspiration raised over $340,000. All of the money raised goes towards funding Wellspring’s incredible programming, and ensuring that adults with I/DD continue to thrive.

We are so excited to share highlights from the evening! To see the full gallery, click the button below. Thank you to Tracy Zavadil for capturing the magic of that night.
