STARS Leadership Committee
There is an exciting new STAR-lead initiative happening each Thursday morning at Wellspring. To ensure that Wellspring STARS have a voice in decision making and planning conversations at Wellspring, individuals on the STAR Leadership Committee meet once a week to discuss important topics relating to STARS experiences at Wellspring. Most recently, the STARS Leadership Committee met to discuss the types of programs that STARS would like to engage in during their time at Wellspring. Nate, the President of the committee noted, “I have fun talking about what classes STARS would like to see at Wellspring… it’s a lot of responsibility, but I have fun none the less.”
Individuals serving on the committee were elected by Wellspring STARS to represent their interests and can serve up to a one year term. Todd, Committee Treasurer, noted that he is enjoying the leadership opportunity. As the mediator, Dianna’s core responsibility is to welcome new STARS to Wellspring, but also really enjoyed talking about the types of programming Wellspring offers and is hopeful to see a robots class in the near future.
Elected members on the committee continue to demonstrate and grow their leadership skills here at Wellspring and beyond.

14th Annual Evening of Inspiration: Hollywood Glam
Wellspring’s 14th Annual Evening of Inspiration: Hollywood Glam is October 14th at Cielo in Castle Pines. This event is not only Wellspring’s biggest fundraiser of the year, but a great opportunity to celebrate adults with intellectual and /or developmental disabilities and cast a vision for the future of Wellspring. Bakers, singers, dancers, artists, and actors are very excited to premier some very fun surprises that evening- you won’t want to miss it.
