Dear Wellspring Community,
As we begin a new year, I’m filled with gratitude for this community and hope for what lies ahead. What started with one mother’s belief in her daughter’s potential has grown into a purpose-driven organization rooted in love, dignity, and action.
Wellspring is more than programs or housing; it’s a place of transformation and belonging. From creative arts and meaningful work to inclusive housing and transportation, everything we do is designed to celebrate potential, affirm independence, and foster genuine connection.
Over the past several years, many families and potential participants have been waiting to be a part of Wellspring Community. Because of our limited space, the wait has grown longer, and the need continues to grow. Today, more than 180 people are on our waitlist, each one hoping for a place to belong. This reality weighs heavily on our community but also strengthens our resolve. This year, we will finally be able to begin addressing this urgent need.
As we step into 2026, I’m especially excited about a season of meaningful growth. This year, we will open our second residential community and move into a new program and office space. For the first time, we’ll have dedicated classrooms and offices, spaces that will allow us to begin addressing our growing waitlist and expand opportunities for the individuals we serve.
These changes will bring greater accessibility, workspaces designed for our community, and a more dignified environment where participants can pursue goals, build confidence, and thrive. As we grow, I remain deeply committed to two priorities: maintaining excellence in our services and ensuring our participants are always guiding the path forward. Their voices, needs, and goals will continue to guide every decision we make.
As we move through this exciting year, I’ll be sharing regular updates in each monthly newsletter. I look forward to celebrating our progress with you and invite you to be a part of it. Come on a tour, volunteer, share our story, or support Wellspring with a gift as we continue building a community where everyone belongs, contributes, and thrives.
With Grace,
Nicole DeVries

Each month, members of our program are nominated for an award recognizing their hard work, kindness, and participation at Wellspring.
Austin brings energy to every room he is in! He’s great at making friends and taking life easy. Austin always looks out for his peers and knows when to crack a joke. We are so thankful for the brightness he brings to Wellspring.
Austin wants people to know that he loves to welcome people to Wellspring and enjoys getting to know others. He also loves NASCAR and his favorite driver is William Byron.
Each month, a different Wellspring class will share a bit of wisdom, a laugh, or a small challenge to brighten your day. This month’s contribution comes from our Comedy Club Class, where creativity, confidence, and a whole lot of humor take center stage.
