Celebrating Inclusive Housing

Unity on Park Open House

With a shared commitment to fostering inclusive communities where individuals with diverse needs can thrive, Wellspring Community and the Douglas County Housing Partnership celebrated Unity on Park Street with an Open House event.

This special event celebrated all the people and partnerships that brought this initiative to life.  Guests gathered with music, neighbors,  enjoyed tours of the property, heard speeches from community leaders in housing, and enjoyed Howdy Homemade Ice Cream on the patio.

Damon, a resident at Unity, Development Associate and  participant in Wellspring’s Day Program shared reflections about the journey of Unity on Park. He spoke about the feelings of pride and the success he feels for all that he and other residents of Unity have accomplished.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who embraced the mission of Unity on Park. As Nicole shared, “This is only the beginning, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.”
