At Wellspring, each day brings new opportunities for growth, creativity, and connection. Our new home is already opening doors for expanded work, giving people more space and time to develop their skills and share their talents with the community.
Ted’s work in the Art Studio reflects this. Whether he’s creating in the Art Studio or representing The Cooperative at a market, Ted is fabulous to work with. In each project, he works carefully and with precision creating beautiful pieces. Ted enjoys creating unique pieces and has confidence saying, “I am a really good artist.” As much as Ted enjoys working in the Art Studio and the Bakery, he always looks forward to dividend day so that he can use his money to buy Justice League and Superman swag and is excited to buy more Disney and Marvel movies.
With the move into our new home, Ted and other artists in the studio are experiencing something important- more uninterrupted time to create. Each class now has approximately 45 additional minutes to create, build skills, and bring projects to life.
It’s these kinds of everyday shifts that reflect what is possible when a community comes together.

Evening of Inspiration
The Evening of Inspiration is Wellspring’s signature fundraising gala. This evening is a celebration of our community and the people we serve. It brings together members of our community, families, and supporters for a night featuring a cocktail hour, delicious dinner, performances by the Wellspring chorale, beautiful artwork made by artists at Wellspring available to bid on for the silent auction, and an exciting live auction.
Each month, members of our program are nominated for an award recognizing their hard work, kindness, and participation at Wellspring.
Auna has shown tremendous growth in the bakery this year. Not only has she increased her skills and ability to work independently, but she has also developed a remarkable level of confidence. She approaches new tasks with a positive attitude, takes pride in her work, and continues to challenge herself to learn and improve.
Lindsey consistently brings a positive attitude to the bakery and is a wonderful example of kindness and teamwork. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to her peers, offering support and encouragement whenever it is needed. Lindsey approaches every bakery task with enthusiasm and a strong work ethic, never hesitating to take on new responsibilities. Her willingness to help others and contribute wherever needed makes her a valued member of the bakery team.
Each month, a different Wellspring class will share a wish, wisdom, or something to brighten your day. This month’s contribution comes from the Bakery Cooperative where adults with I/DD work in an accessible environment where they harness their passion for baking and grow in their skills.

Wellspring Weekends
Wellspring Weekends is an exciting eight-week series designed to help participants explore interests, build skills, and connect with others in a fun and supportive environment. Participants will choose one class for each of two four-week sessions and attend that class once a week.
Ducky Derby
Hosted by the Castle Rock Rotary, the Ducky Derby is a fun community tradition that supports local nonprofits. When you purchase a duck and designate Wellspring as your favorite non-profit, you help support Wellspring’s programs and services.

Club 21
Club 21 is a monthly Friday social where people of all ages and abilities connect through themed activities, snacks, and friendship. Advance registration required. July’s Club 21 theme is Water Night!
Art Studio Cooperative @ the Castle Rock Farmers Market
The Cooperative will be at the Castle Rock Farmers Market most Sundays this summer from 9:00-2:00! We will be setting up a retail table in front of the Collective and selling our Ceramics, Framed Art, Cards, Watercolor Kits, Coffees, Lemonade and Baked Goods. Be sure to stop by, say “Hi,” grab a treat and buy some art!
Our offices and in-person day program will be closed June 25th & June 26th for our annual staff retreat. Wellspring Online will be offering classes available to all enrolled program members to join during the closures.
